Occupational Category Technical/Para-Professional Department Facilities Planning & Construction Division Division of Finance and Operations Open Date 08/18/2025 Open Until Filled Yes Educational and Experience Requirement Associates degree in Business Administration or related field. Three years of experience compiling and maintaining records, assessing data details, inventory tracking, general auditing of records, or experience in a related field. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered. Nature & Purpose of Position Performs advanced specialist duties for Facilities Planning and Construction. Primary Responsibilities Assists the Campus Space Planner by maintaining an accurate inventory of all Sam Houston State University space and properties including but not limited to: site records of parking lots, sports fields, misc. non building areas and off campus sites for student teaching, clinicals and student actives. Enters and maintains accurate building and room database with required information as outlined in the specific coding structure of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB). Performs building audits, including measuring rooms, photographing facilities, interacting with space users and verifying signage. Prepares reports, charts, and presentations, attends meetings in the absence of the Campus Space Planner. Scans and files copies of property deeds, easements and agreements in the departments property files. Performs other related duties as assigned. Other Specifications Position will require the use of computer software such CAD, adobe acrobat or blue-beam and other general productivity software. Requires a general knowledge of standard office functions. Requires a valid Texas Drivers License. Must be able to apply policies and procedures and solve routine problems of a repetitive nature. Must be detail and customer service oriented. May be responsible for providing information and communication with other University departments, students, faculty, staff, alumni, government officials.
