Looking for a Trainable "Rockstar" that can be promoted within 6 months to a Manager role.
The role of the Specialist is to support the Supplier Diversity Department's functions by engaging with vendors, conducting outreach efforts/events, facilitating internal collaboration and support, ensuring client alignment, and participating in other related activities. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Supplier Diversity, this position works independently to carry out key tasks for the department, aiming to meet our target Supplier Diversity objectives.
This position requires attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, as well as the ability to complete tasks promptly and follow through assertively. Demonstrate effective communication with both internal and external parties to ensure all items are completed efficiently. The ability to suggest improvements for engagement, innovation, and efficiency is highly encouraged.

This position requires collaboration across various internal teams and external stakeholders Identify, evaluate, and prequalify diverse businesses to become suppliers Correspond daily with internal personnel and certified suppliers Collect and disseminate supplier capability information to appropriate buyers Establish and maintain relationships with diverse suppliers and advocate for their inclusion into supply chain Provide development opportunities for suppliers Act as a liaison between diverse suppliers and other departments to resolve any issues or concerns that may arise Supporting multiple types of program requirements dependent on client regulations Develop a deep understanding of current and future needs for multiple business units Partner closely with department managers to strategize diverse business utilization Ability to comprehend contract documents and manage supplier onboarding process Oversee automation process for weekly invoice entry of certified suppliers Monthly Vendor Statement Reconciliation with weekly follow-up Utilize and update internal Supplier Diversity Tools Provide training to educate employees on supplier diversity best practices Ensure data is accurately reflected in tracking systems and databases Monitor and validate supplier diversity metrics and provide regular reports to stakeholders Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly compliance reporting Identify, monitor, collaborate on deficiencies, and develop process improvement Drive the ongoing development of diverse businesses, bringing value to the supply chain Conduct regular market research to identify new supplier diversity opportunities and trends Stay up-to-date on supplier diversity regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement Collaborate with other Supplier Diversity professionals to share best practices Initiate client outreach and alignment opportunities Attend industry conferences, community events and other networking and outreach activities Host Matchmaking and Roundtable supplier connections at events Plan, execute and facilitate supplier diversity events Assist in compliance reviews and audit response Provide support for all department initiatives and objectives Ability to travel up to 20%Requirements:
Experience in procurement/subcontract management High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Strong organizational skills Analytical and critical thinking skills Ability to multi-task Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, etc. Excellent verbal and written communication skills The ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely Represent the company in a positive manner
