Specialist I - Embedded Hardware

Role Proficiency:

Act creatively to develop new hardware techniques provide leadership to select appropriate technical options optimize design and development maintenance and performance by employing design standards and by reusing proven solutions. Responsible for others' developmental activities while assisting Project Manager in day to day project execution

Outcomes:

     Recommend inputs for functional board from requirements including component selection and schematics. Develop test procedures and perform testing      Creates owns and executes designs for sets of new hardware functionality as part of a hardware project; performing as a technical leader      Apply standardization with reference to Engineering Specifications and techniques to assure quality designs      Create BOM by applying design techniques competitive analysis alternate analysis required for the product      Apply optimal design techniques on Digital design precision analog power supply involving battery/linear/DC-DC/AC-DC and high power      Apply design analysis for precision Analog Sensory circuitry Derating Loading Power Thermal MTBF Reliability Worst case DFMEA      Design for Multi-layer high speed PCB and support manufacturing      Identify and use project specific hardware development tools for configuration management process      associated with targeted processor/controller   Perform and support compliance testing activities for embedded hardware boards   Recommend solution for EMI EMC regulatory specifics to product domain – Automotive/Medical/Consumer   Actively support software mechanical housing team and hardware manufacturing   Influence and improve customer satisfaction   Influence and improve employee engagement within the project teams

Experience in Hardware V&V , system design & development and worked for Industrial, IoT and Power electronics projects >Proficient in developing test plans, conducting design validation and verification activities, and performing reliability and Product certification testing (UL, CE, FCC, ROHS etc) to ensure product robustness. >Experience in designing and testing systems for EMI/EMC compliance, including knowledge of IEC standards (IEC61000 series) and conducting tests like Surge, EFT, ESD, Ring-wave, RF Immunity, Conducted Immunity, Harmonics measurement Voltage Dip, Hi-pot, Ground Bond Testing and radiated /Conducted emissions >Execute Reliability Testing: IP65, IP66, IK08, Shock, Vibration, Wind, Temperature cycle, Thermal Shock, Cold Start, ALT etc >Skilled in debugging and troubleshooting hardware issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing design modifications to enhance product reliability and performance. >Experience in Firmware Regression Testing >Proven skills in component engineering—managing alternate components to ensure smooth production continuity—and conducting RMA handling with detailed root cause analysis of field-failure units
