Specialist DevOps Engineer Lead

For the role of DevOps Engineer we are looking for candidates with a broad range of skills. 

The responsibilities include:

You develop and design CI/CD pipelines following the Vodafone Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). 

You put focus on the evolution towards Infrastructure as a Code through automation scripts and specific tools. 

Align with DevSecOps guidelines. 

Perform evaluation of infra requirements, design and build environments using containers or virtualization in Public or Private Cloud. 

You make our platforms reliable and observable: whether implementing improvement measures, automating validation checks, setting up monitoring activities. 

You pay special attention to maintaining the cloud and on-premise infrastructures on which our projects are based. 

You work on an autonomous and horizontal team, where your decisions counts!

 

What you bring

Practical experience (at least 3 years) on Platform, DevOps, SRE or Cloud Engineer role.

DevOps competencies developing Software pipelines. This includes CI/CD tools (e.g. Github Action, Jenkins or Gitlab CI, SonarQube, Gitlab, Artifactory, Bitbucket, Docker Registry, ECR).

Kubernetes Cluster Deployments, Helm.

Scripting (e.g. Python, Perl, PowerShell, Bash, Groovy or similar).

Experience in Infrastructure as a Code (e.g. Ansible or Terraform).

OSS Integration: Elastic, Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus , Filebeat, Jaeger, Kiali or similar.

Linux fundamentals (networking, standard services).

AWS/Cloud hands-on experience. 

Software Development background. (Desirable) 

Nice to have:

Virtualization technologies such as VMWare/Broadcom, ESXi.

Istio, ArgoCD, Karpenter, KEDA. 

Knowledge of standard Web Servers (Apache, Nginx, Active Directory) ad API Gateway.
