We are seeking candidates for "Claims Advisory - Specialist" based in Johannesburg office!

Review and understand incoming documentation seeking guidance or advice where necessaryIdentify all potential policies and coverages, seek validation where necessary, and advice where uncertain or clarification requiredCommunicate with clients, colleagues, third parties or insurers for status updates, information requests, instructions or query resolutionProvide support for procedural guidance to clients and facilitate information requests between colleagues ,insurers and clientsCommunicate with colleagues, clients or beneficiaries to provide status updates, and follow-up with insurers on escalationsGenerate claims reports from internal system as required, validate, supplement and distribute as necessaryAdhere to compliance / regulatory requirements, or Marsh’s Professional standards to maintain quality & avoid potential E&O situationsBuild and maintain effective relationships with clients, colleagues, third parties and insurersEffectively communicate with clients, colleagues, third parties or insurers as appropriate at all times, and as per local proceduresEnsure all applicable records and files are kept up to date in accordance to internal policiesProactively handle tasks and activities to ensure adherence to local or client service standards, or KPI'sManage and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines, service standards or deliverables, escalate or seek assistance where necessaryManage allocated claims portfolios to ensure overall adherence to Marsh PoliciesManage escalations from start to end and ensure all involved parties kept up to date with developments and seek or defer for appropriate advice where necessaryKeep all relevant parties informed ,as appropriate , of any potential problems or contentious claimsManage outstanding run off claims per the professional standards

What you need to have?

Insurance and claims handling knowledgeClear and concise oral and written communication skills in English.Strong numerical skillsExcellent organization skills – able to prioritize work and meet deadlinesExcellent interpersonal skills – able to work within a teamBe comfortable and have experience working with technology (solutions)Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (or equivalent) – Outlook, Word and ExcelAbility to work under pressureStrong time management skillsAbility to problem solvePrevious insurance studies will be advantageous
