Role Purpose

The Billing and Charging Engineer is responsible for working with teams across the business to ensure the efficient and effective mediation, charging and billing of all customer events as per the official organisation’s Products and tariffs and other specific business applications which will be identified in this role. 

Key Accountabilities

Create an in-depth understanding of our telecom end-to-end charging and billing processes and procedures. Execute business requirements from different departments, priorities, define key performance indicators (KPI), and develop Billing strategy.Interprets business requirements and determines optimum Billing solutions to meet needs.Participate in evaluating future reporting tools and identifies and provides input to new technology opportunities that will have an impact on the enterprise-wide billing systemsWork with internal and external customers and IT partners to develop and analyse Billing needs.Responsible for the configuration of product offerings in primary systems, including CCS, Middleware and the billing engine (VXView)

Qualifications and Experience

Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or relevant Tertiary qualification.Minimum of 3 years in Telecom Billing.
