6-8 Years of experience in Linux admin & Production supportShould have Production Operations experience (specially handling production environment)Experience on Ticketing tools like JIRA/ServiceNow/AOTS etc. is a must.Effective communication skills, verbal, non-verbal and written.Ability to work effectively within a team environment and collaborate with colleagues from various departments.The candidate is expected to work in 24/7 production support.Experience with monitoring tools and platforms (e.g. Grafana).The candidate is expected to have a knowledge on the ETL tools, such as, IBM TWS, Informatica, Kafka, etc.Experience on the data transfer tools like, Connect direct, SFTP, SCP, etc….Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Good hands-on experience on Linux and Azure cloud services.Strong knowledge on the scripting, e.g. Shell scripting, Python, etc.Familiarity with clustering environment, such as Veritas, redhat cluster etc.Strong communication and collaboration abilities.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).Familiarity with the processes (Incident, change and problem management)Roles and Responsibilities:
Should be responsible to provide technical support, administrative support and troubleshoot the issues for the day-to-day operations. Should be able to resolve the technical issues to meet the SLA's.Should also be responsible for monitoring the systems, providing technical assistance, managing incidents, and ensuring efficient workflows.Providing 24×7 operational support to all production practices on holidays and weekends.Coordinating with various teams and raise support ticket for all issues, analyze root cause and assist in efficient resolution of all production tickets.Good troubleshooting and analytic skills.Acting as the point of contact for the infra production eco system.Candidate should enhance the quality by value adds, automation, optimization etc.Key Competencies and Skills
Manage and maintain Linux serversPerform regular system updates, patch management, and security configurations.Monitor system performance and ensure high availability.Deploy, manage, and monitor virtual machines and other resources in Azure.Very good experience on the Linux inplace upgradesHands on experience on onprem to Azure migrationImplement and manage Azure services such as Azure Compute, Azure Active Directory, Azure Storage, Azure backups and Azure Networking.Ensure proper security measures are in place, including firewalls, security groups, and identity management.Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or PowerShell.Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or ARM templates.Set up and configure monitoring tools to track system performance, availability, and security.Generate regular reports on system health, performance metrics, and incident resolution.Implement and manage backup solutions for both on-premises and cloud environments.Perform regular backup tests and ensure data recovery processes are in place.Create and update knowledge base articles for common issues and resolutions.Azure AI, Mango DB, Natural language processing (NLP) and large language models (LLMs), SQL is added advantage.Knowledge on the ETL applications such as, Informatica, IBM TWS, Kafka, etc.Knowledge on DevOPS tools like, Ansible, git, Jenkins, etc.Education and Qualifications:
Must have bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in science / computer applications or equivalent.Certification in Linux and Azure cloud platform#ProductEngineering
