About the role:

Are you looking to join a team of media experts, in one of the UK’s best-known high-street retailers, with one of the UK’s largest 1st Party datasets? Are you passionate about the ever-evolving media industry and want to be part of a team driving that change? 

We’re looking for a Paid Media Specialist to support the delivery of the paid media strategy for Boots UK, across our General Merchandise Business Unit. You will work on some of the biggest campaigns of the year including Summer & Christmas, working closely with the wider Marketing Team to implement and optimize the paid media plan. 

This role sits in the Media Strategy & Planning team, who are responsible for delivering best in class media activations across our three-core business units; Beauty, Healthcare and General Merchandise

Key Responsibilities:

•    Planning and delivery of paid media campaigns to deliver against commercial and marketing objectives 
•    Working closely with the media agency and internal teams to manage the delivery and optimisation of a campaign
•    Working with the Performance marketing team and the Media Manager to measure and report on campaign & channel performance; ensuring KPIs are in place for all activities.
•    Working closely with the creative and content teams to ensure media assets are optimized across channels; collaborating with media owners to support with this
•    Staying on top of budgets and ensuring we are deploying budgets in the most effective way possible
•    Preparing presentations to help update key stakeholders of campaign activity, pre, during and post

What you’ll need to have:

•    Demonstrable expertise in paid media platforms, ideally including ATL channels such as TV, Radio and OOH
•    Experience in paid media planning or buying, client or agency side, working on retail and/or consumer businesses.
•    Experience of working closely with media agencies 
•    Experience of working in close collaboration with creative and content teams.
•    Strong verbal and written communication, robust interaction with internal stakeholders and other members of the team. 
•    Ability to work at pace and deliver agility in response to business needs
•    Works well with others and actively contributes towards team objectives 
•    Working under pressure, flexible, positive and focused during times of change

It would be great if you also have:

•    Hands on experience of social platforms (such as Meta, TikTok)
•    An understanding of performance marketing
•    Experience in optimising campaigns
•    Understanding of audience first planning, using first party data sets
