This role supports Ontario's goal of growing affordable housing by enabling Enbridge Gas to assist landowner groups, builders, and developers. The successful candidate will also collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure organizational readiness and alignment with evolving market needs.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate strategic competence, strong project management capabilities, and a deep understanding of Enbridge’s natural gas infrastructure. The ability to influence cross-functional teams and build productive external partnerships is essential to success in this role.

What You Will Do:

Lead strategic engagement with landowner groups in key development areas to understand energy demands, development phasing, timing, and housing mix. 

Support partners’ desire to use natural gas within their new construction development.

Manage cross-functional relationships with Distribution Optimization Engineering, Asset Management, Capital Development, Sales, Operations, Regulatory, and Municipal Relations to streamline service delivery and ensure system requirements and costs are accurately evaluated.

Develop and manage project plans to ensure timely and efficient installation of natural gas infrastructure aligned with development timelines.

Represent Enbridge Gas Ontario in discussions regarding energy use and planning with developers, builders, and municipalities.

Provide market insights to internal teams to support planning, forecasting, and strategic decision-making.

Prepare and deliver presentations to internal and external audiences, including municipal councils, builder associations, and industry events. 

Who You Are:

University degree in Business, Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field. For applicants without a degree, we require an additional 3 years of experience.

7 or more years of directly related experience in energy infrastructure, land development, or strategic project management. Other combinations of education, training and experiences will be considered.

Strong understanding of Enbridge’s natural gas systems and load attachment processes.

Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence outcomes in a collaborative environment.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

Comfortable advocating for natural gas and representing Enbridge in public forums.

Experience working with municipal governments, developers, or in land development planning.

Familiarity with Ontario's new construction market and building codes.

Experience with demand-side management or energy conservation programs.

Working Conditions:

Approximately 25% travel required to development sites and meetings across Ontario.

Valid Ontario G class driver’s license and a clean driving record required.

Occasional evening and weekend work for events or stakeholder engagements.
