Job Description:

As an RF Circuit Design Engineer, you will be responsible for participating in the design, simulation, development, and testing of RF circuits, antenna systems or systems for use in Radar systems or other tactical military applications.

The Advanced Systems & Technologies (AS&T) division is a part of L3Harris’ Agile Development Group and specializes in developing disruptive, next-generation technologies for advanced Unmanned Air Systems (UAS/UAV), advanced radar systems, next-generation weapon systems, and other RF sensor technologies using small company agility and big company experience.

Essential Functions: 

Take responsibility for electrical design tasks including requirements analysis, specification generation, interface definition, and board layoutTake technical responsibility for schedule, cost, at the board or subsystem levelPerform RF & Microwave (VHF through Ka) design synthesis at the board or subsystem levelPerform simulation, breadboarding, testing & troubleshooting of RF circuits, functions and subsystemsDevelop test plans and procedures for RF subsystemsParticipate in peer reviews, preliminary design reviews, critical design reviews and other required design reviewsParticipate in interdisciplinary design teams and reviewsLearn and follow company processes for product development, configuration management, purchasing, etc.Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearances as requiredPhysical Requirements: ability to lift up to 10 lbsUp to 10% travel may be requiredOther duties as required

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar engineering degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.Active security clearance required3+ years experience in RF Circuit DesignExperience with RF and 3D EM Simulation and Modeling, Schematic Capture, Board Layout CAD toolsProfessional experience in practical RF system considerations such as path loss calculation, cascade noise figure, intercept point and power Professional experience with basic RF test equipment including Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and Signal Generators2+ years experience with RF/Microwave circuit layout techniques with board level design experience in the RF or Microwave bands

Preferred Additional Skills:
