We’re looking for a Specialist, Regulatory Compliance to join our Integrated Compliance Service team at MBPS. In this role, you are responsible for supporting the Global Regulatory Risk and Change Management function in its oversight of the Regulatory Compliance Management Program, specifically on the following areas below.
Position Responsibilities:
Support the Regulatory Risk and Change Management CoE in ensuring that effective regulatory compliance management controls and processes are in place to comply with regulatory requirements.
Keep the Global Compliance informed of new regulatory requirements, compliance issues, and their business impact; alert them of emerging risks and trends; and coordinate actions to mitigate potential regulatory and reputational exposures. Coordinate with different segments and legal entities on regulatory updates.
Provide support in regulatory compliance communication, reporting, and information sharing.
Support Regulatory Compliance in monitoring, assessment, validation, and communication of entries and updates in compliance management systems or equivalent platforms.
Contribute to the design or enhancement of reporting, data analytics, and visualization processes related to Regulatory Compliance, enabling accurate and efficient data collection while minimizing resource impact across segments (including ad hoc requests).
Provide support to Regulatory Compliance Management program initiatives, including:
Responding to compliance-related documentation and information requests.
Facilitating walkthroughs and control attestations in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Supporting readiness assessments and the implementation of enhancements to compliance processes and systems.
Provide additional support from Manager to Senior Manager of the Regulatory Compliance Center of Excellence in the assessment and execution of centralized policies, standards, and audit coordination.
Conduct trainings on compliance management systems and related programs.
Perform ad hoc assignments in support of Global Compliance, Regulatory Risk Management, and Integrated Compliance Services.
Required Qualifications:
2-3 years of experience in compliance, legal, risk (regulatory compliance risk, dealing with legislation), or audit (internal or external) as an analyst or auditor.
3 years of experience in the financial industry or a relevant field.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present to stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree preferably in accounting, law, finance, business, or related fields.
Preferred Qualifications:
Intermediate knowledge of Excel, including the use of formulas, macros, and report formatting.
Experience in documentation, with the ability to create policy/guidelines documents based on stakeholder discussions. Background in documentation and data analysis.
Knowledge or experience in data analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI is preferred but not required.
Good interpersonal skills, creative and open minded, willingness to learn and adaptive to change.
Proficiency in developing and writing policies and procedures.
Understanding of regulatory compliance management programs and methodology.
Proficient in MS Office Suite of products including MS Word, Excel, Power Point.
Strong eye for business, excellent judgement, and the ability to make decisions in times of uncertain.
Ability to work independently under pressure and make prompt decisions in a fast- paced environment.
