Specialist, Product Experience Design

Overview

Mastercard Foundry Asia Pacific is looking for a Specialist, Product Experience Design to join our team in Singapore. Our regional CX & Design team is part of a global multi-disciplinary team of designers, researchers and strategists, whose goal is to create and scale differentiated and innovative experiences that fuel Mastercard’s business. Part of Mastercard Foundry, the CX & Design team is located in Sydney and partners closely with Product Management, Engineering and Account Management teams to deliver best-in-class products that drive value and business results for our customers and the end-consumer.


Role

In this role, you will be:

•\tVisualising critical moments and opportunities across end-to-end product journeys in the form of user journeys, storyboards or prototypes.

•\tParticipating in cross-functional workshops, collaborating with the team to identify which product or feature level opportunities will yield the biggest customer impact

•\tCreating design concepts that fully explore multiple options, and leverage research findings to determine the best solution

•\tDefining the right problems to solve through ongoing partnership with Product Management teams

•\tProviding input into the creation of the product vision, and supporting stakeholder decisions through hypothesis testing and competitive research

•\tCollaborating with the team to craft engaging experiences that drive adoption and use in-market through thoughtful and usable interaction, content and visual design

•\tCreating experience prototypes to evaluate product and end-customer assumptions

•\tCrafting experiences that balance user and business needs. Ensuring new feature designs are tested and iterated when appropriate.

•\tLocalising global solutions to the AP region. This may include design, researching what is appropriate in each country, researching what competitors do in similar scenarios, in order to make thoroughly considered design decisions.


All About You

•\t2-3 years of demonstrated experience in creating and implementing UX and visual design for desktop and mobile devices

•\tStrong visual design skills are a must

•\tYou are a creative designer, who carefully considers how the customer will interact with the product, from overall journey level right down to the smallest details

•\tYou practice Design Thinking and can demonstrate success in bringing products to market using this methodology

•\tYou produce, test, and iterate on experience artifacts, including user flows, interaction models, prototypes, wireframes, low/high fidelity sketches, and design specifications

•\tYou can expertly use creative tools such as Figma and Adobe XD

•\tYou have strong awareness of common interaction patterns and know when and how to apply them

•\tYou have previously worked on complex projects in large business settings

•\tYou have a portfolio of work that demonstrates your creative process as well as showcasing completed design solutions

•\tYou endorse an inclusive, people-centric and data-focused design mentality, and understand the role of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies

•\tYou’re a critical thinker who questions the status quo and strives for improvement

•\tYou have proven ability to deliver solutions and maintain utmost standards of quality

•\tYou have strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills


Desirable but not essential:

•\tYou may have previous branding, illustration or animation experience

•\tYou may have contributed to the creation of design systems
