Overview:
Responsible for providing procurement support to the organization's country operations. The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that procurement activities are aligned with the organization's goals, standards, and policies. The role is responsible for establishing profitable and competitive rates, through pricing strategies and positions, as well as administering all related information and processes in the relevant systems. The incumbent will be expected to stay up-to-date with procurement trends and provide guidance on procurement best practices.
Responsibilities:
Operational
Execute procurement plans for the country operations. Support procurement activities, including sourcing, bidding, and contract management. Prepare materials for vendors' meetings. Support in identifying cost-saving opportunities and recommend solutions. Provide subject matter expertise in assigned market, including customer commodity trade knowledge. Receive, review, process and set rates that meet customer needs and trade objectives, directly work with sales to meet their customers’ rate needs withincompany guidelines, and gather competitive information. For senior role, support senior colleagues in negotiations with vendors and suppliers. Act as support to Sales team on pricing strategies, ensuring that recommendations have high probability of success and contribute to revenue stream.
Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and internal policies. Assist in the conduct of procurement risk assessments and implementation of mitigation strategies. Keep track of performance of vendors engaged; highlight non-conformance or deviations from agreed SLAs. Manage timely and accurate preparation of service contractsInsights and Reporting
Gather data from various source in preparation for data analysis; assist in the analysis of procurement data and provide insights to improve procurementperformance. Support the development and maintenance of procurement metrics and dashboards for reporting. Prepare periodic reports and presentations on procurement performance.
Continuous Process Improvement
Support the review of procurement processes and procedures and recommend improvements. Assist in the development and implementation of procurement process automation initiatives. Support procurement-related training and capacity-building activities. Assist in the development and maintenance of procurement knowledge management systems.Qualifications:
General Experience
Associate role - Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience Specialist role - Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in procurement, preferably in a logistics firm. Senior Specialist role - Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in procurement, preferably in a logistics firm. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good negotiation and contract management skills.The typical starting salary range for this position is: $55,440 - $65,000.
The actual salary offer will take into account multiple factors including skills, experience, education and location. Please note that the salary details listed in role postings reflect the base salary only, not total compensation, which includes bonus and benefits.
