As an essential component of Asurion’s Global Security and Risk organization, the Asurion Philippines Security Operations Center (Ph-SOC) has the responsibility to proactively detect any situations, man-made or natural, having the possibility to impact any Asurion employee or asset in all Philippines, and selected APAC and Japan sites. Ph-SOC Analysts collects, assess, and disseminates information to global security leadership and appropriate business entities during the reactive phase of any issue affecting Asurion operations. The Ph-SOC is a fast-paced, information-driven environment requiring personnel to be highly motivated, quality conscious and able to perform these tasks with little or no supervision.Surveillance Monitoring: Monitor live CCTV feeds and recorded footage of PH, and APAC sites. Troubleshoot basic issues such as camera malfunctions, network connectivity problems and system lag. Regularly test and maintain system for proper functionality including video storage and access checking.Access Control Management: Oversee Access Control Systems (ACS) to prevent unauthorized access to Asurion property. Monitor alarm system activity to detect unauthorized access attempts and escalate issues as necessary. Troubleshoot and resolve system errors, including credential issues, and system failures.Cargo Security: Manage cargo security monitoring systems and ensure that shipments are tracked and protected in compliance with Asurion Security Policy and industry best practices. Troubleshoot issues with the monitoring technology including system downtimes, GPS sensor failures, or inaccurate tracking.Security Intelligence and Threat Analysis: Monitor and track environmental, technological and operational factors that could affect business operations or employee well-being. Evaluate alerts for severity and potential impact. Provide accurate and timely information to global and site leadership during incidents including situational updates and recommended actions.Investigate security incidents by analysing CCTV footages and access control logs to gather evidence.Emergency Response and Reporting: Act as primary point of contact during emergencies ensuring timely and effective responses. Assess situation and coordinate with internal response teams and external agencies. Maintain communication with stakeholders during incidents providing situational updates. Update and maintain event action plans ensuring alignment of a current risk and organizational needs and incorporate lessons learned from previous incidents to improve plans and protocols.Activate and manage Asurion’s mass notification tools during emergencies ensuring accurate, clear and timely communication to all stakeholders. Test regularly to ensure functionality and reliability. Update and maintain distribution list.Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports detailing trend analyses, key findings and potential risks and provide actionable recommendations to address recurring security issues and improve preventative measures. Assist in the development of policies, procedures and security training programs based on trend analysis findings.Training and Development: Ability to train, conduct transfer of knowledge and security orientation to new PHSOC team members and 3rd party security personnel. Stays abreast of social, cultural, legal, and criminal issues, nationally and regionally, and assess and analyse their impact on the business operations and employees.Support internal and external audits by providing necessary records and pieces of evidence.
