Specialist, Inflight Hub Control Center - CLT

Feel free to enrich both your personal and work life and hop on board! **Why you'll love this job** The Specialist, Inflight Hub Control Center is part of the Inflight Team within the Customer Experience Division. This role is responsible for representing Inflight in the Hub Control Center, supporting operational reliability metrics, and collaborating with the Hub Control Center, crews, and other departments to drive on-time departures, while working in the hub control center, concourse, gates, or on aircraft as needed. **What you'll do** _As noted above, this list is intended to reflect the current job but there may be additional essential functions (and certainly non-essential job functions) that are not referenced. Management will modify the job or require other tasks be performed whenever it is deemed appropriate to do so, observing, of course, any legal obligations including any collective bargaining obligations._ • Knowledgeable of all Company and departmental policies, procedures, regulations, and the APFA Collective Bargaining Agreement • Collaborate with turn coordinators and Hub Control Center leaders to support the operation • Review flights and checks for potential crew misconnects • Monitor crew assignments to minimize flight delays or interruptions • Assist with requests from other departments, IOS, Scheduling, etc • Provide status of department reliability and communicates irregularities which may impact the daily operation • Coordinates with Crew Scheduling/Tracking for preboarding of flights or re-crewing • Partner with Inflight Operations Support to triage incidents and support the operation • Assist with delay investigations, daily and monthly reports pertaining to operational activities • Support departmental and station goals by reviewing and identifying delay data and trends • Coordinate with other departments to mitigate issues and facilitate on-time departures • Ensure on-time departures are consistently delivered to our customers **All you'll need for success** **Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience** • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience/training • 3+ years of relevant experience • Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable • Ability to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges • Must pass U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) mandated drug test • Able to push/pull force of up to 60 pounds • Available to work shifts that include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Along with the flexibility of shift changes for operational needs • Successfully perform physical requirements of the job, including emergency evacuation drills **Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience** • Current Inflight, Customer Care, Hub Control Center, or other operational experience • An understanding of working with a contract labor group is desirable **Skills, Licenses, & Certifications** • Ability to engage, coach, and collaborate with crew members and other departments to achieve an on-time departure. • Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment in addition to analyzing and making decisions based on data • Ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects at the same time • Excellent interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills **What you'll get** Feel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer: + Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
