The Position

Are you ready to take the next step in your career? Our General Accounting team is seeking for a dedicated and experienced Specialist for General Accounting who can add value to the team.

As a Specialist for General Accounting, you will ensure complete and accurate execution of dedicated steps with regards to financial closing and reporting for the assigned Global Business Services countries in the region according to the agreed activity split between Global Business Services Center Manila and Operative Unit (OPU). Reporting directly to the Head of General Accounting, you’ll be an essential part of the Accounting to Reporting Services team. Duties & Responsibilities:As a Specialist, General Accounting, you will perform and monitor the dedicated General Ledger related closing activities for international Global Business Services entities, particularly:  Compilation of group reporting packages to headquarters as basis for group financial statementsPreparation of figures for local statutory financial statements (FS I)   You will perform the dedicated financial accounting and planning tasks for the assigned companies, e.g. with regard toCompliance and plausibility checksAnalytical account reviews and reconciliation (accounting review procedures)Determination and execution of month- and year-end postingsYou will be the first point of contact in Global Business Services for the local and regional accounting staff and support the business partners regarding all General Ledger related requests within the area of responsibility (1st level support), keep communication with the local accounting key users concerning General Ledger related topics on a regular baseYou will ensure prompt settlement of assigned General Ledger issues with regard to evaluation, solution design and corrective actions (if necessary), including documentation and archiving of the respective issuesYou will ensure that all GL accounts within the Global Business Services countries responsibility are reconciled and the respective account balances are provable; ensure that all General Ledger related documents and files are adequately archived in terms of completeness, form and traceabilityYou will act as prime interface with regional external auditors regarding year-end audit requirements of the dedicated entities (including technical and/or organizational matters); develop management responses for audit findings within the area of responsibilityYou will supervise the regional public financial auditors and be the first point of contact for questions to General Ledger related items of the assigned companies; coordinate answers in cooperation with peers from OPUs, subledgers and/or tax departmentYou will take responsibility of and assist in defined topics, projects and/or working packages Preparation and performance of internal and external trainings for General Ledger topics Preparation and performance of internal and external meetings and workshopsSupport and Sub-lead of projects (e.g. deployments) Requirements:

You must have at least 3 years of professional experience in the accounting department of a large-scale enterprise or in a public financial auditing company.

Additionally, we are looking for a candidate with:

CPA designation is not required but preferrableBS Accountancy graduateDeep knowledge in MS-Office and database applications (SAP)Analytical thinking, teamwork, and collaboration spiritCommunication and interaction skillsGood analytical and conceptual thinkingProject related experienceFluent English in reading, writing and speaking
