ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER, CIVIL AND INTERIOR WORKS
Position Summary
JLL Project Development Services (PDS) Mumbai is seeking an Assistant Project Manager specializing in Civil and Interior Works. This role involves supporting the project management team in the planning, execution, and delivery of office fit-out projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating civil works and interior finishing elements, ensuring quality standards and timeline adherence across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in managing the execution of civil and interior works for commercial office fit-out projects in Mumbai and surrounding regionsCoordinate with contractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure timely completion of project activitiesMonitor construction progress against project schedules and highlight potential delaysReview technical drawings and specifications for civil and interior elementsConduct regular site inspections to ensure work quality meets JLL standards and client requirementsPrepare daily/weekly progress reports and maintain project documentationSupport the tender process for vendor selection and material procurementEnsure compliance with safety standards and building regulations on project sitesAssist in budget tracking and cost control for assigned project componentsCoordinate with internal teams including design, MEP, and procurementParticipate in client meetings and provide updates on construction progressSupport project handover and closure activitiesQualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Interior Design5 to 8 years of experience in commercial office fit-out projectsHands-on experience with civil works, interior finishing, and construction managementKnowledge of local building codes and construction practices in MumbaiUnderstanding of construction materials, methods, and quality standardsExperience working with contractors and managing on-site execution teamsFamiliarity with project management tools and documentationRequired Skills
Strong technical knowledge of civil construction and interior finishing worksAbility to read and interpret architectural and construction drawingsBasic understanding of MEP systems and their integration with civil/interior worksGood communication skills in English and HindiProficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Attention to detail and problem-solving aptitudeTime management and organizational skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlinesPreferred Qualifications
Knowledge of project management softwareUnderstanding of contract management and procurement processesFamiliarity with sustainable building practicesAwareness of health and safety regulations for construction sitesWorking Conditions
