Duties Description The Statewide Coordinator oversees and is responsible for all functions of the Office of Record Production (ORP), serving as an administrative authority on rules and regulations related to court reporters, transcript production, page rates, electronically recorded court proceedings and transcription vendor services. The Office supports the NYS Unified Court System's (UCS) commitment to access to justice by developing and implementing policies and best practices that ensure the highest standardof record quality and accuracy. Duties include but are not limited to managing recruitment and onboarding to meet court staffing needs, assisting in the development of testing standards for the Senior Court Reporter Civil Service Examinations, as well as assessment examinations for provisional employment. The Statewide Coordinator also maintains communication with attorneys, managers, judges, union representatives and vendors. This role involves collaboration with the Division of Technology to advance court reporting technologies, and the implementation of pilot programs for electronic filing of transcripts, as well as establishing standards, policies,and training for the delivery of CART (Communication Access Realtime Reporting) services for Deaf and hard-of-hearing court users in compliance with ADA requirements. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of relevant experience; or An equivalent combination of education and experience. Preference will be given to candidates with Court Reporting experience and with advanced knowledge of the Court Reporting profession.
