We deliver and coordinate a continuum of high-quality healthcare with the goal of improving the health of our communities. * JOB SUMMARY * ** Provides support to Peri-operative and Sterile Processing Services (SPS) by building and maintaining instrument trays and count sheets essential for tray accuracy and pick lists; and ensures that each case contains all required items. Interfaces directly with vendor representatives. Utilizes available software programs and assists leads to track all loaner/vendor trays and ensures delivery for cases in an efficient and timely manner. Immediately escalates issues/concerns to Shift Lead. Orders instruments /builds sets as requested. Collaborates with SPS educator, specialty nursing staff, Epic, Peoplesoft, and SPM teams, physicians and finance. Manages repairs, preventative maintenance, and exchanges of broken instruments. *MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS* *Education:* * High School Diploma or equivalent experience *Experience:* * 3 years of SPS experience *License and Certification: * * Current "Sterile Processing Distribution Technician Certification" from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution Inc.(CBSPD) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) from IAHCSMM required. *LANGAUGE SKILLS: * * Ability to read, write and speak English required. *KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS* * Must be able to lift 40 pounds. * Must obtain a minimum of 10 CEU’s (continuous education units) per year. * Working knowledge of SPM, EPIC, and Microsoft Office *PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS * ** *Experience: * * 5 years of SPS experience.Prefer experience in lead role, SPS repair management, ordering in PeopleSoft, and Tecsys/SPM/EPIC Superuser. ** We take great care of careers.
