Position Overview:

The Spackler is responsible for the precise installation and finishing of all decal applications on both the interior and exterior of rail coaches. This role demands a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail to ensure decals are applied seamlessly, free of air bubbles, wrinkles, or contaminants. The ideal candidate will be skilled in trimming and aligning decals to match complex surface profiles, contours, and edges, all in accordance with engineering specifications and design standards.


What your day may look like:

Safely operate hand and power tools in accordance with safety protocols.Perform routine maintenance on finishing equipment to ensure optimal performance.Obtain and maintain certifications for specialized equipment as required (e.g., crane, forklift, scissor lift, fall protection).Accurately complete work order documentation, quality records, and labor hour tracking.Consistently meet company standards for quality, workmanship, and safety.Achieve production goals, quality benchmarks, and labor targets with minimal supervision.Support and mentor fellow colleagues by sharing finishing techniques and best practices.Adhere to all safety requirements, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment by maintaining clean and hazard-free workspaces.


What You Need to Be Successful

High school diploma or GED.Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive or industrial decal application.Basic English proficiency – ability to read and understand written instructions and communicate effectively.

This position is located in Sacramento, CA. The starting hourly rate for this position is $20.75/hr. There is a 10% shift differential for second shift and 20% shift differential for third shift.
