Space Vehicle Systems Engineering Lead

Lockheed Martin Space is looking for an innovative and experienced Systems Engineer to support the team that designs, develops, fields and operates systems for a variety of national security mission partners for a growing program in SPP Mission area\. This a key role in the successful execution of activities of major significance to the nation's National Security Enterprise\. As the program’s Space Vehicle \(SV\) Responsible Systems Engineer \(RSE\) and Space Vehicle Integrated Product Team \(IPT\) lead and Cost Account Manager \(CAM\), you will work closely with the Chief Engineer team on a development program within the Space Protection Programs \(SPP\) portfolio in Denver, Colorado driving innovative technical solutions while maintaining cost and schedule constraints of the program\. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Support CE and CSE roles to ensure integrity of system / segments / subsystems design, integration, verification & certification, including compliance of segment requirements, sub\-system specs, ICDs, CONOPS, and hardware & software to achieve physical\-logical integration • Support Program Manager as the IPT lead and CAM to drive cost and schedule performance • Ensure the logical conversion of mission priorities into requirements and a balanced total system solution to determine best\-value outcomes to design trades • Assist CPEs & RSEs to ensure system interfaces are properly specified, integrated, tested and verified within CPE products and across the integrated Sub\-Systems and System from development through ATLO and launch • Provide technical leadership and critical readiness assessments for major design reviews • Ensure technical baseline management by application of engineering rigor, consistency, attention to detail, and technical integrity to insure compliance to LM Command Media in support of program design review boards \(ERB, QRB, MRB, FRB, TIB, etc\.\) • Provide thought\-leadership to proactively engage with program leadership &/or customer to resolve open actions or concerns **Basic Qualifications:** • Familiarity with MBSE concepts • Experience working in a technical leadership role • Experience in one or more systems or subsystems areas such as RF, electronics, avionics, software, power, structures & mechanisms, Guidance Navigation and Control, systems architecture • Current or Active Top Secret Clearance; US Citizenship **Desired Skills:** • Experience performing in a Systems Engineering role on a large and complex DoD/IC space hardware development efforts • Demonstrated ability to apply systems thinking and critical thinking skills, translating ideas into actions and results • Demonstrated experience with development and delivery of space subsystems and components • Prior experience as an LM Space CPE and/or RSE • Strong mission and end\-to\-end systems expertise • Experience applying MBSE concepts in a Systems Engineering role • Prior SAP access • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education **Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\. **Clearance Level:** Top Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years **Other Important Information You Should Know** **Expression of Interest:** By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\. **Schedule for this Position:** 9x80 every other Friday off **Pay Rate:** The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York \(excluding most major metropolitan areas\), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 \- $216,660\. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location\. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only\.
