Space Radiation Task Order Manager (HHPC)

The Leidos Human Health and Performance Contract (HHPC) has an opening for a Space Radiation Task Order Manager in Houston Texas. 

Only existing HHPC employees will be considered, as the successful candidate will retain a significant amount of their current technical HHPC assignments.

The Space Radiation Task Order Manager is responsible for the technical operation, management, and administration of the Space Radiation Task Order activities on the Human Health and Performance Contract (HHPC) for NASA/Johnson Space Center (JSC). This task order provides contractor technical and organizational support as well as project management activities across several projects/programs including Space Medicine Operations Division (SMOD), Radiation Health Office (RHO), Radiation Flight Operations,  Radiation Dosimetry and Sustaining Engineering, Exploration and Technology Advancement, Spacecraft Radiation Shielding Analyses and Operations, Spacecraft Radiation Monitoring Instruments, and Space Weather. 
 

Primary Responsibilities:

Establish a safe and healthy working environment for all employees through education, training and leadership, establish appropriate safety procedures and practices, and assure proper abatement of unsafe or unhealthy working conditions. Ensure safety is top priority.Supervise, manage, and advise personnel with regard to day-to-day activities and deliverables. Responsible for initiating and communicating policies procedures.Serves as a prime customer contact for the SD2/Space Radiation Analysis Group.Meet and interact with NASA Personnel and other contract representatives in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Task OrderPlan and direct Task Order Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring, and ClosingCompile and present 2.4.4 Task Order charts for the bi-yearly SD TCSR.Manage Travel Authorizations and Expense Reports within the execution of the Task OrderManage Task Order Employees and Subcontractor Staff, both onsite and at remote locationsOrganize, direct, and coordinate execution of Task Order activities within negotiated time framesDevelop and submit a Monthly Task Order Status Report – Monthly Management ReviewProvide support to the HHPC Flight and Medical Operations Department (FMOD) ManagerAttend NASA technical meetings as necessary/needed to provide expertise, Task Order inputs, or maintain situational awareness as needed to remain effective as a knowledgeable Task Order Manager.Participate in staffing activities (interviews, resume reviews, decisions, etc.)Prepare/conduct Task Order Leadership Tag with Subtask Leads (gather info, assess risk, make decisions, give direction, etc.)Conduct or support NASA customer meetings as scheduled or needed.Providing clear leadership, technical direction, and guidance to all task order personnelManage overall financial monitoring and reporting for the Task OrderAttend company/contract staff and management meetings.Provide support and documentation for NASA/JSC and contractor ISO quality and VPP programs.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years' relevant experience or a Masters degree and at least 6 years' relevant experience, including at least 5 years' experience supervising or leading teams or projects.Proven experience with project managementProven experience with managing personnelStrong communication skills and comfortable presenting to customers and contract management teamsOrganizational and work planning skillsProven ability with effective written communication.Effective use of computers and use of MS Office products

Preferred Qualifications:

Pay Range:Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
