Space Planning Manager
**Position Description:**
Develops documentation and resources for the Space Allocation Committee and campus leadership for best utilization and allocation of space as a university asset. Validates facilities inventory data to ensure data accurately supports institutional decision making. Oversees online mapping and GIS Systems to ensure that all campus maps and floor plans are accurate and up-to-date. Oversees relocation project management staff to ensure that relocations projects are completed on time and within budget.

**Major/Essential Functions:**
+ Oversee and manage assigned projects, develop project teams, and ensure timely, accurate completion.
+ Ensure all information, data, and reports are accurate, current, and effectively communicated with stakeholders.
+ Provide guidance on Facility Information strategies using metrics, dashboards, analysis, and customer feedback.
+ Promote continuous improvement through project evaluations, processes, KPIs, and staff development.
+ Collaborate with college staff, project teams, and end users to ensure clear communication of project requirements during planning and review.
+ Use AutoCAD and Map 3D to create architectural designs, maintain current project plans, and organize past project data for future use.

**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Familiarity with database protocols, CAD programs, building codes (ADA and egress), and space planning.
+ Preferably with an architecture/interior design or equivalent background.
+ Experience communicating with external parties, representing the department to the university and other external sources.
+ Effective communication through in-person, written, telephone, or email methods.
+ Understanding of creativity and alternative thinking to develop new ideas and solutions for work-related problems.
