You will work cross functionally to analyse and optimise space allocation across all Retail stores, ensuring the company space rules are defined and reviewed to grow sales and profit and also protect customer availability. You will be accountable for providing timely and accurate space performance insight which underpin macro space decisions across all project types including new stores, refits and also category space resets as part of the Rapid Reviews. In addition you will contribute to the team to develop our space tools, improve our data and reporting capability and also our processes to simplify our ways of working.
Some of your responsibilities include:
Provides actionable macro space recommendations on all activity relating to category space resets, seasonal activity, property space programmes and ensures consistency of approach and adherence to timelines
Targets and quantifies improvements to sales and margin impacts as a result of macro space change proposals
Actively looks for opportunities to simplify and speed up business processes and ways of working aligned to improving availability with a customer first mind-set
Takes ownership on providing macro space recommendations for category space resets following the Rapid Review plan
Takes ownership to provide space recommendations for business projects impacting macro space in our stores

For this role, we’re looking for someone who has:
Previous analytical experience within a commercial retail environment
Experience of data modelling and reporting
Clear understanding of retail
Knowledge of space and layout planning (desirable)
Ability to work cross functionally and manage key stakeholder relationships
A good listener, critical thinker and problem solver who has a far reaching network of colleagues equally willing to help and support
Highly numerate with a strong analytical background
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
Strong SQL knowledge
Python (desirable)
Google Looker (desirable)
