Special Requirements

Has 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in Spa therapy or Spa ReceptionPassed O-levelsPossesses excellent English, math and psychometric abilitiesPossesses aptitude and upward mobilityTechnical education in physiotherapy, massage or holistic treatments is preferredWilling to conduct cross gender treatments

Major Responsibilities

General

Is directly responsible for the day to day key processes in his/her area of workAssists his/her supervisor in executing the day to day operational requirementsAssumes training responsibilities when required; demonstrates a high degree of standards awareness; promotes teamwork and acts as role modelAttends all scheduled training sessionsActively offers operational, employee and customer (internal and external) related feedback to managementDisplays warmth, care and genuine enthusiasm when dealing with guests and internal customers; lives the Golden Rule

Departmental - Treatments

Provides professional treatments including massage, facial treatments and body treatments in a sensitive and personalized manner and following company standards and procedures; Determines guest needs and preferences by asking pertinent questionsPossesses a high degree of product knowledge and relevant technical skills; intuitively recommends and effectively upsells treatments, packages and retail items in a sensitive and personalized mannerHandles guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; meticulously respects guest needs for privacy, takes ownership of guest concerns and requests and acts decisively to ensure guest satisfaction when glitches occurHas a thorough understanding of all services including benefits, indications & contraindications for each of the treatments; applies professional products safely and accuratelySets-up and maintains spa treatment rooms in an immaculate manner; maintains stocks of operating and guest supplies in the work areasPerforms retail transactions

Departmental - Reception

Takes guest bookings for Spa services by voice or correspondence; processes bookings and issues confirmations to guests in an accurate and timely mannerPossesses a high degree of product knowledge and relevant technical skills; Intuitively recommends and effectively upsells treatments, packages and retail items in a sensitive and personalized manner;Has a thorough understanding of all services including benefits, indications & contraindications for each of the treatmentsMaintains guest history recordsConducts facility tours; Follows hotel's telephone etiquettePerforms retail transactionsFollow up on Engineering Requests

Specific Responsibilities and Tasks

Adheres to the hotel's code of conduct and grooming & hygiene standardsIs seen as working hands-on, assists colleages in crunch times; Walks the talkActively participates in briefings and meetingsMaintains a clean and orderly work area and promotes a safe working environmentPerforms any additional duties as assigned

Departmental

Is proficient in the use of the reservations softwareReads and update the daily logIdentifies and reports facility maintenance issues and equipment related problems immediately to managerPrepare & serve spa drinks & maintain highest level of hygieneYou may be employed with the intention of initially having you focused exclusively on Spa treatments or Spa Reception depending on your previous experience & natural ability.  To progress to the next level of Supervisor you will need to be proficient in both spa treatments & spa reception at this level.
