Spa Therapist
Job Description Job Summary 
To provide treatments and recommend experiences and retail products at the highest level of personalization while maintaining a gracious, enthusiastic, helpful and professional attitude with all guests and associates. To possess complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products offered, upholding the Asaya wellness ethos and vision of the Spa. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
General Duties
Greet and anticipate guest needs within the Spa and exceed their expectation at every opportunity with the highest level of personalization.Ensure the smooth running of the Spa with clear communication with both associates and guests with appointments, retail products, providing a seamless service throughout whole Spa.Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the Spa, supporting associates and specifically within the treatment rooms that they are fully stocked of all items necessary to provide all treatments.Be consistent with presentation of the treatment’s rooms, beds, nail areas set up/ appearance and are ready to use at all times and relevant items are sterilized in the correct manner.Be knowledgeable about and promote all services and products within the Spa, attending all necessary training courses.In the absence of the Spa Treatment Supervisor or (Assistant) Spa Manager, carry out the duties and maintain the standards ensuring the smooth running of the Spa.Properly care for equipment and products used throughout the spa facility.Understand and adhere to punctuality for spa appointments.Able to compare and contrast the different services on the menu.Be mindful of the spa therapists’ rota to ensure business needs are met and cooperate as needed.Ensure all therapists’ paperwork such as guest health checks are completed and updated and product sales, commissions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.Upsell Spa products considering guests’ needs and departments’ sales targets. Maximize department revenue achieving sales targets set by the management team.Be alert to potential opportunities to improve service and profitability within the Spa.Be positive within the Spa and a role model to the rest of the Spa team promoting effective communication that guests see the close team spirit and nurturing environment.Be discreet and adhere to guest confidentiality.Keep the Spa Treatment Supervisor, (Assistant) Spa Manager or (Assistant) Director of Wellness updated with information, complaints, queries that have arisen.Be familiar with treatments and products that are not suitable for use during pregnancy.Be aware and comply with Health and Safety within the Spa for both facilities, treatments, products upholding these to both guests and associates.Handle guest questions and concerns with professionalism and courtesy.Respond to guest requests immediately, accurately, and appropriately.Maintain a clean, safe, stocked and well-organized work area.Maintain spa appearance and cleanliness.Ability to work without direct supervision.Assist in all areas of the spa operation as directed by management.Comfortable around guests in a state of undress.
Standard Responsibilities
Comply and adhere to the Rosewood company policies.Take on other tasks in addition of the ones stated, in a reasonable framework.Be a “brand ambassador” at all times and ensure brand integrity and clarity are always maintained.Model the Company’s culture, vision, mission, and core values at all times.Be mindful of and active in a Spa & Wellness lifestyle and strive to inspire wellness-focused change in others.Maintain an understanding of the spa industry and spa philosophy (emotional, physical, nutrition, skin health, community.)Understand that as a representative of Asaya they will maintain a healthy, fit appearance and a positive attitude.Maintain personal grooming and appearance according to the standards.Maintain a positive attitude toward guests, co-workers, subordinates, and hotel management. Avoid engaging in gossip or any dialogue that may diminish the direction and goals of the hotel and the hotel group. ConfidentialityWhist working for the company there will be access to a wide variety of confidential information concerning the company, guests and associates. It is vital that all such information remains confidential and must not be disclosed to anyone outside the company, guests and associates, unless otherwise stated.
Health & Safety
Be aware of and comply with safe working practices as laid down under the Health and Safety rules, regulations and procedures as applicable to your place of work. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards at your workplace.The wearing of appropriate protective clothing provided by or recommended by the Company will be obligatory.Report any defects in the building, plant or equipment according to hotel procedure.Ensure that any accidents to associates, guests or visitors are reported immediately in accordance with correct procedures.Attend Statutory Fire, Health & Safety training and be fully conversant with and abide by all rules concerning Fire, Health & Safety.Be fully conversant with:RegulationsRisk Assessments for your departmentHotel Fire & Bomb Procedures
