Spa Supervisor
Description• Supervise spa therapists, answering queries and identify training needs
• Develop the therapists’ roster and assist the receptionist with the appointment schedule
• Ensure the spa’s operating procedures and policies manuals are implemented and updated as required
• Assist in the development and updating of the spa menu
• Reference and abide by the spa’s Standard Operating Procedures, Policies & Forms Manuals

Key Responsibilities• Will take full responsibility for assisting the Spa Manager in the management and growth of the staff on all levels.
• Assist the Fitness Manager motivating the team and creating a stimulating and effective work climate
• Maintaining a Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability and acting as an effective Spa leader and role model.
• Assist the Spa Manager holding regular departmental meetings, and communications within department.
• It is essential to keep the Spa Manager informed about the department, all employees' performance, and guests concerns and comments.
• Responsible for conveying clear instructions and guidance to staff and establishing working relationships that attain a high level of effective employee morale
Operations
• Assisting the Spa Manager in scheduling and guiding the daily meditation.
• Together with the Spa Manager implementing core values
• Will take full responsibility in assisting the Spa Manager giving guidelines, direction and monitoring for the quality, development and effectiveness of all services offered at the Spa.
• Actively contributing in and directing all job-related meetings as necessary.
• Monitoring the housekeeping standards and mechanical effectiveness of all facilities, report deficiencies as they occur and follow-up.
• Full responsibility for assisting the Spa Manager monitoring all facility and service standards and keeping him/her apprised of any operational opportunities
• Maintaining a safe and hazard free environment for all staff and members and promote safety awareness at all times.
• Will take full responsibility for assisting the Spa Manager reviewing all suggestions and comments from staff and guests and make necessary adjustments.
• Will take full responsibility for responding properly in any resort emergency or safety situation.
Finance
• Responsible for overseeing the scheduling, monitoring employee performance, disciplining and completing payroll for all personnel who report to him/her.
Reporting
• Assisting the Spa Manager tracking and developing statistical reporting.
• Keeping accurate and up-to-date records and statistics on the spa employees.
Purchasing
• Will take full responsibility for assisting the Spa Manager monitor operating supply funds for the Spa Department and generate necessary purchase requisitions.

Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseMinimum educational qualification(s): • Beauty/spa therapist qualification
• Business administration qualification an advantage
• Should have knowledge of Herbal Medicine
• First Aid and CPR Certificate
Minimum work experience required: • Two (2) years spa supervising experience in an international standard spa
• [If applicable, hotel/club/medical sector experience]
Proven business skills required: • Operations management
