Description•\tSupervise spa therapists, answering queries and identify training needs
•\tDevelop the therapists’ roster and assist the receptionist with the appointment schedule
•\tEnsure the spa’s operating procedures and policies manuals are implemented and updated as required
•\tAssist in the development and updating of the spa menu
•\tReference and abide by the spa’s Standard Operating Procedures, Policies & Forms Manuals

Key Responsibilities•\tWill take full responsibility for assisting the Spa Manager in the management and growth of the staff on all levels.
•\tAssist the Fitness Manager motivating the team and creating a stimulating and effective work climate
•\tMaintaining a Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability and acting as an effective Spa leader and role model.
•\tAssist the Spa Manager holding regular departmental meetings, and communications within department.
•\tIt is essential to keep the Spa Manager informed about the department, all employees' performance, and guests concerns and comments.
•\tResponsible for conveying clear instructions and guidance to staff and establishing working relationships that attain a high level of effective employee morale
Operations
•\tAssisting the Spa Manager in scheduling and guiding the daily meditation.
•\tTogether with the Spa Manager implementing core values
•\tWill take full responsibility in assisting the Spa Manager giving guidelines, direction and monitoring for the quality, development and effectiveness of all services offered at the Spa.
•\tActively contributing in and directing all job-related meetings as necessary.
•\tMonitoring the housekeeping standards and mechanical effectiveness of all facilities, report deficiencies as they occur and follow-up.
•\tFull responsibility for assisting the Spa Manager monitoring all facility and service standards and keeping him/her apprised of any operational opportunities
•\tMaintaining a safe and hazard free environment for all staff and members and promote safety awareness at all times.
•\tWill take full responsibility for assisting the Spa Manager reviewing all suggestions and comments from staff and guests and make necessary adjustments.
•\tWill take full responsibility for responding properly in any resort emergency or safety situation.
Finance
•\tResponsible for overseeing the scheduling, monitoring employee performance, disciplining and completing payroll for all personnel who report to him/her.
Reporting
•\tAssisting the Spa Manager tracking and developing statistical reporting.
•\tKeeping accurate and up-to-date records and statistics on the spa employees.
Purchasing
•\tWill take full responsibility for assisting the Spa Manager monitor operating supply funds for the Spa Department and generate necessary purchase requisitions.

Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseMinimum educational qualification(s):\t•\tBeauty/spa therapist qualification
•\tBusiness administration qualification an advantage
•\tShould have knowledge of Herbal Medicine
•\tFirst Aid and CPR Certificate
Minimum work experience required:\t•\tTwo (2) years spa supervising experience in an international standard spa
•\t[If applicable, hotel/club/medical sector experience]
Proven business skills required:\t•\tOperations management
•\tHuman resource management

Technical skills required:\t•\tBusiness writing
