The Spa at Kauri Cliffs is nestled at the edge of a Totara forest, complete with a couples treatment which opens to a private outdoor sanctuary. It also offers a fully equipped fitness centre, indoor lap pool, sauna and spa pool along with changing facilities. We provide a spectrum of personalized treatments from indulgent massages and facials to elegant nail services, within a luxurious space that includes a sauna, jacuzzi, heated lap pool and fitness centre.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Hotel/Lodge/Resort Spa Manager to manage our Spa operation. You will be responsible for recruiting and training staff, inventory control and day-to-day management of the Spa and Fitness Centre, as well as providing treatments to our guests. In addition you will:
Provide professional treatments and serviceManage guest bookings and individual requirementDeliver spa treatments in-line with Rosewood Hotel Group standardsKeep abreast of contemporary spa services, products, benefits and industry changes Relationship development with local competitors Proficient in the use of Spa specific software applications and continuous learningAbout you
You will be a hands-on leader and will use your experience and business acumen to ensure our in-house Spa team is fully trained, that our Spa is profitable, and continues to exceed guest expectations.
Effective communication skills, computer literate, including intermediate MS Excel and Word skills are necessary to be successful in this position.
This is a hands-on role and will require you to work independently, with the ability to carry out all beauty and massage treatments, in addition to manage independent contractors and employees during our high season. Our spa treatments are available to our guests on weekends, evening's and public holidays.

At least 3 years relevant experience, ideally from working in luxury level hospitality environmentsExperience of working with Spa Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) Standards (desired)Massage Therapy and Beauty qualificationsImpeccable personal groomingExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExperienced people managerBusiness acumen - working to and achieving sales, therapies and LQA targetsMust be available to work weekends, evenings and public holidaysWhat we offer
This is a full-time position offering a minimum of 30 hours per week although you may be expected to work up to 50 hours per week during our peak periods.
