**Position Overview**
The **Finance Manager** is the cornerstone of finance and accounting functions for our infrastructure business. As a trusted business advisor, this role works closely with executive management to maintain strong financial operations and deliver timely, accurate insights that support strategic decision-making. You will be accountable for the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, while developing procedures and controls to ensure the integrity of all financial data.
This role supports multiple infrastructure projects ranging from **$1 million to $4 billion** , with a focus on **heavy civil construction and transportation infrastructure** . The Finance Manager is also responsible for advising on operational strategies, mentoring and developing future finance talent, and serving as the central contact for operational support groups and joint venture partners. Strong leadership in training, communication, professionalism, and strategic thinking is essential to success in this role.

Kiewit's Southeast District specializes in heavy civil, transportation and water resource markets, and has played a significant role in building infrastructure throughout the fast-growing southeastern United States. Since the 1970s, we have built projects from Maryland to Florida and west to Louisiana. **Responsibilities**
+ Act as a key leader, exemplifying Kiewit’s core values and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
+ Lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for infrastructure projects ranging from **$1M to $4B** .
+ Analyze and clearly communicate financial performance (revenue, cost, backlog, overhead, G&A) to executive leadership.
+ Build trust and alignment with operations teams to drive cohesion and informed decision-making.
+ Develop and enforce internal controls to ensure data integrity and compliance with GAAP and company policies.
+ Drive cost efficiency through accurate budgeting, strategic analysis, and continuous process improvement.
+ Review project cash flows, payment terms, and joint venture agreements for financial risks and opportunities.
+ **Develop, mentor, and manage a team of Finance Analysts** , setting clear expectations, providing ongoing feedback, and supporting career growth.
+ Lead recruitment of top finance talent and deliver impactful presentations during strategic planning sessions.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA or MBA preferred).
+ 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or data analysis, ideally within construction or infrastructure.
+ Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, financial reporting, and claims/accounting practices.
+ Proven financial management skills including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and cost control.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead and develop finance teams, including Finance Analysts, while managing monthly and annual reporting cycles.
+ Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
+ Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
+ Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to think both strategically and analytically.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment and consistently meet deadlines.
+ Willingness to travel and relocate for project assignments as needed.
+ Must be able to access all areas of a construction site in varying climates and conditions.
