Key Responsibilities:
The South Africa RSV/FLU Franchise Medical Manager will participate to and execute the Medical and scientific (non-promotional) strategy for the RSV/FLU franchise portfolio/therapeutic area in close partnership with the other functional franchise leads and in alignment with the overall franchise strategy.
The main responsibilities include:
Utilize strong business acumen, acting as a key strategic business partner to the organizationInitiate and drive projects to raise standards of care and change clinical practiceAbility to work independently with a solutions-oriented and balanced approach to ambiguityLead and drive rapid integrated evidence planning and execution through deep understanding of internal and external stakeholder evidence needs and robust data gaps analysisDeep therapy area expertise and product knowledge including competitor dataDrive strong collaborative relationships with commercial and cross-functional teams, including marketing, value & access, health economics, regulatory and clinicalCultivate and maintain relationships with external expertsDrive collaborative relationships with above-country colleagues to ensure the MCO / country involvement and strategic input into global and regional plansGood understanding of the impact and evolution of healthcare systemsLead creation and implementation of medical plansAbility to rapidly assimilate new data and integrate into new therapy areaCreate industry leading digital educational and scientific content that is timely, relevant, interactive and innovative Champion the patient voice when developing and implementing medical strategiesDemonstrate strong leadership influencing across networks and by coaching and mentoring members of the teamAbout you
Education/Experience/Certification:
Doctorate level education: MD or equivalent Medical degree preferred, PhD or PharmDIndustry experience (including medical affairs field or office) and/or clinical experience mandatory, ideally with relevant vaccines experienceGood understanding of the continuum of data generation including clinical development, Real World Evidence (RWE) and data gaps analysisAbility to act independently with a solutions-oriented and balanced approach to the grey areasExcellent communication skills including driving challenging discussions· Develop a good understanding of HCP communication preferences to adapt communication style and optimise use of relevant channels to suitImplement true scientific engagement journeys by bridging channel disconnect to drive ongoing engagement and grow collaborative opportunities and meaningful scientific exchangeBe confident in the use of Omnichannel tools and ability to adapt to new channelsEffectively and compliantly share unmet needs of HCPs and their centers with cross-functional teams to inform patient centric strategyPursue progress, discover extraordinaryBetter is out there.
