**About the Job:**
An opportunity has arisen for a **Sous Chef (Sushi)** to join the **Kayto** team in **Jumeirah Al Naseem** . The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
+ Prepare and cook high-quality food according to menu guidelines, recipes, and instructions from Chef de Cuisine.
+ Follow hygienic food handling practices and cleaning/waste disposal procedures; assist in setting service and food standards.
+ Communicate any issues to the Executive Sous Chef and take action to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
+ Assist in developing new menu ideas, ensuring menus are seasonal and creative, and using the finest ingredients.
+ Manage staff training, ensuring an active training plan is maintained and practices are followed.
+ Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met, supervise dish quality, maintain kitchen records, and adhere to safety and quality procedures.
**About You:**
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
+ Expert in Japanese cuisine, with a focus on Sushi.
+ At least two years of experience in the same position in a luxury 5-star property, experience in the UAE is desirable.
+ College Degree in Culinary Arts or similar from an accredited Culinary School.
+ Fluent in English and an additional international language is a plus.
+ Good financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, cost control, and increasing profitability.
