About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Sodexo. This is a hands-on role supporting the Head Chef in delivering high-quality food for a range of services, from workplace dining to events and corporate hospitality.
You’ll play a keyrole in maintaining high standards, supporting menu development, and ensuringsmooth day-to-day kitchen operations.
Key responsibilities:
Work alongside the Head Chef to deliver 5* excellent food and servicePrepare meals for daily service and events (2–220 covers, including canapés and fine dining)Support in designing and delivering menus tailored to client requirementsManage supplier relationships, place orders, and oversee stock controlMonitor and report wastage accuratelyEnsure compliance with health & safety, food safety, and allergen regulationsMaintain proper stock rotation and secure storage of all ingredients
What we’re looking for:
Previous experience as a chef in a high-volume settingProfessional cookery or culinary qualificationsKnowledge of fine dining and canapé preparationStrong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasksIntermediate Food Hygiene Certificate (essential)First Aid Certificate (desirable)
