We've got an exciting opportunity for a passionate Sous Chef to join our Catering team at Morrisons Head Office in Bradford. This is a full-time permanent role, working 5 days over 7, typically Monday - Friday with a 3pm finish! Flexibility is required for occasional Saturdays and evening events, but you'll benefit from a rota that genuinely supports work-life balance.

As Sous Chef, you'll be second in command in our busy Head Office kitchen, supporting the Head Chef in leading a dedicated team and ensuring the smooth delivery of high quality food every day. Our 600-seat colleague restaurant serves a wide variety of meals, from traditional favourites and healthy options to modern street food and seasonal specials. It's a high-volume, fast-paced environment where no two days are the same and where your leadership, creativity and calm under pressure will shine.

You'll be hands on in the kitchen, setting the tone for quality and consistency, and stepping up to lead the team in the Head Chef's absence. You'll also play a key role in developing menus, mentoring junior chefs, and supporting a strong culture of food safety and professionalism.

About you

What we're looking for?

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready to step up, ideally from a high volume environment NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery (or equivalent) Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards Strong leadership and team development skills - leading by example Passion for great food, with the ability to plan, prep and deliver constant high standards A cool head under pressure, with excellent communication and organisational skills Flexible, dependable - a willingness to support the team when needed
