2023 was the hotel’s 60th anniversary, which has seen the refurbishment of Executive rooms and suites as well as a re-development of the lobby level, including a brand new restaurant and bar.

This role is for the Main Kitchen.

\n

Salary: Ranging between 39,975.00- 42,392.37 per year, plus service charge based on a 39-hour week.

What will I be doing as a Sous Chef?

\n\nManage all aspects of the kitchen including operational, quality and administrative functions\nManage the provision of food to Food and Beverage outlets and taking action where necessary to ensure compliance with current legislation\nContribute to menu creation by responding and incorporating Guest feedback\nEnsure the consistent production of high quality food through all hotel food outlets\nManage customer relations when necessary, in the absence of the Executive Chef\nEnsure resources support the business needs through the effective management of working rotations\nSupport brand standards through the training and assessment of the Team\nManage the kitchen brigade effectively to ensure a well-organized, motivated Team\nControl costs without compromising standards, improving gross profit margins and other departmental and financial targets\nAssist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships\nBe environmentally aware\n\n

   What are we looking for?

\n\nPrevious experience as a Sous Chef\nExcellent planning and organizing skills\nPassion for producing high quality food\nAbility multi-task and meet deadlines\nStrong supervisory skills\nPositive attitude\nGood communication skills\nAbility to work under pressure\nAbility to work on own or in teams\nProficiency with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook\n\n

ELIGIBILITY

\n\nIn line with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996, all applicants must have the eligibility to live and work in the United Kingdom.\nDocumentation is required at interview stage (for EU Nationals share code requested to check EU Settled/Pre-Settled status)\n\n
