Sourcing Specialist

Our Opening and Your ResponsibilitiesThe Sourcing Specialist provides strategic and operational procurement support, leading sourcing projects across multiple categories and regions (Europe, Americas). They collaborate with business stakeholders, coach local procurement teams, manage RFXs, negotiate contracts, and work with Global Category Managers and regional Sourcing Managers to secure competitive costs and terms for Mettler-Toledo.
Key Tasks:Collaborate closely with Global Category Managers and Sourcing Managers in Europe and the United States to support sourcing initiatives across worldwide locations, assuming increasing responsibility and engaging key stakeholders at all levelsProvide strategic and operational procurement support to business stakeholders (product owners, service owners) across worldwide locationsExecute commercial and contractual sourcing events, including negotiations and RFXs/tenders, securing competitive costs and favorable terms while mitigating proportional contractual risksPrepare reports and presentations to communicate sourcing outcomes and savings to managementSupport local teams in Malaysia by promoting and implementing procurement best practices and coaching them to follow METTLER TOLEDO's procurement policies and processesEnsure compliance with company standards and legal requirements in all procurement activitiesSupport or lead small- to medium-sized projectsUndertake additional tasks aligned with the Global Indirect Procurement Strategy, such as Purchase-to-Pay process management during transition phases and other projects as assignedWhat You Need to SucceedBackground
Minimum bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or a related field Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, procurement consulting, sales or key account management, or related fields within a globally operating organization Proven experience in negotiation, contracting, procurement, and managing relationships with international stakeholders and supplier.Knowledge of
Experience in a similar role with a solid understanding of procurement processes, ideally within a multinational or global-scale business Proactive, self-directed, eager to learn, and self-motivated Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel; SAP and Procurement Suite (Coupa, Jaggaer, Ariba) knowledge is an asset Passion for negotiating favorable deals and effective communication with suppliers Other Skills
