Sourcing Project Manager
The Sourcing Project Management Office (Sourcing PMO) within the Global Operations Procurement COE is seeking a Project Manager to work with local and global Sourcing, Operations and Business teams in managing New Product Development (NPD) venture projects.

The Sourcing Project Manager (SPM) works within a cross functional team reporting to the customer facing Project Manager, managing the overall program. The SPM manages all Sourcing, Supply Chain and Materials Planning aspects for the assigned projects. He/she utilizes the necessary training, processes and procedures, toolsets, and communication plan to effectively execute across the organization. The SPM is accountable for meeting the Sourcing project milestones and will be required to solve problems, develop and execute objectives in support of short-term and long-term business goals. Cooperation with Engineering, Planning, Operations, Supplier Quality and peers within the Sourcing and Procurement community will be paramount. Working across time zones and physical locations will enable the candidate to gain vast experience in a global network and will challenge the individual to maintain exceptional organizational and prioritization skills.

Job Specific Responsibilities Include:  
•    Plan, direct and coordinate all project related Sourcing and Supply Chain aspects within schedule and budget.
•    Manage the entire project life-cycle; Pre-Concept, Concept, Development, Pre-launch and Production phases. 
•    Maintain project plans to ensure all stakeholders are informed of program status, performance, risks and issues.
•    Interact with all stakeholders to maintain a high-level of effective communications and resolve problems and issues as they arise. Having “ethical courage” to escalate if needed.
•    Supporting the Source Selection process, BOM cost analysis and impact.
•    Supporting Supplier Quality Engineering in developing suppliers to comply with automotive quality requirements.
•    Manage and coordinate resource needs for each assigned project.  
•    Assign work and ensure tasks are completed on-time to meet milestone deadlines.
•    Track and measure performance at each phase of the NPD/CM process.  
•    Prepare status reports.
•    Support process development and/or improvement.

Experience / Qualifications
• A university degree and 2-4 years of experience (i.e. Bachelors degree) or a graduate degree and 0-2 years of experience (i.e. Masters degree)
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
