Sourcing Project Management Leader - Supplier Implementation

JOB SUMMARY:

The Sourcing Program Management Leader is responsible for executing supplier transfers and localization initiatives aligned with Polaris’ global sourcing strategies. This role ensures minimal supply chain disruption, cost efficiency, and long-term operational excellence through effective program management and cross-functional coordination.

Key responsibilities include assessing supplier capabilities, managing APQP processes, coordinating tooling transfers, and ensuring timely Start of Production (SOP). The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to drive accountability and deliver results across departments such as Engineering, SQE, Planning, and NPI.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct capacity assessments of catcher suppliers, including process, technology, and organizational readiness.Develop and manage program plans with clear timelines, milestones, and resource allocations.Lead cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful project execution.Collaborate with SCRM to identify and mitigate risks related to supplier transitions.Maintain structured communication using APQP methodology and weekly updates.Create and manage Gantt charts, open issues lists, and budget plans.Coordinate site visits to pitcher and catcher suppliers as needed.Coordination of ramp up and ramp down plans with each supplier as needed.Oversee tooling transfers and new tooling development.Align with internal teams on drawings, PPAPs, demand planning, and program launches.Work closely with Sourcing Managers to evaluate product cost and pricing.Completion & Delivery of the Change Control Board (CCB) presentations

Performance Metrics & Deliverables:

Completed supplier assessments with capacity and quality evaluations.Program plans and Gantt charts developed and maintained.Cross-functional team rosters established.Open issues tracked and resolved.APQP compliance maintained.SOP achieved on schedule.Weekly stakeholder updates delivered.Zero disruptions during supplier transitions.PPAPs completed in coordination with SQEs.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATION:

Required:

Bachelor’s degree.10+ years of program management experience.Proficiency in APQP and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).Strong communication skills in English and Spanish.Willingness to travel up to 50%.Detail-oriented with strong analytical and multitasking abilities.Hands-on, proactive, and self-driven approach.

Preferred:

Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.Experience in the automotive or assembly industry.Familiarity with Polaris products and operations.Knowledge of the powersports industry.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Fast-paced, dynamic hybrid work environment.Frequent international travel required.Based at Apodaca Nuevo Leon MX.
