Let me tell you about the role:
You will support various BP businesses with a range of high complexity and strategic sourcing and contracting activities. In addition to sourcing, this role is responsible for developing supplier relationships, proactively identifying value opportunities.
This includes demand management, definition of sourcing strategy based on a predefined category framework, source selection, contract negotiation, and contract creation & maintenance.
The role contains leadership responsibilities, and will manage a team of sourcing analysts and/or sourcing leads.
What you will deliver:
To lead complex, end-to-end Sourcing projects as per business request.
Across activity sets, it's paramount to ensure that all requests and Scopes of Work liaise with stakeholders to ensure all requirements are considered/met.
Drive and manage various S&C projects of high spend & complexity
Ensure that the business requirements are well-understood and accurately covered in the sourcing process. Influence business demand where required and possible.
Manage and coordinate the supplier selection process to ensure the most ideal option is chosen
Manage all relevant stakeholder and supplier interactions incl. and relationship including senior levels throughout the sourcing project
Propose potential modifications/updates to the relevant contract templates based on category specific requirements
Take an innovative approach and lead continuous process improvement initiatives.
Professional Leadership
Provide coaching and professional mentorship to wider Team and proactively contribute to the development of sourcing capability and knowledge in FBT
Active involvement in task allocation and workload management
Effectively represent the Team in the respective categories in conversations with our stakeholders and suppliers
Drive and coordinate issue resolution in complex scenarios propose improvement initiatives that result in long term solution.
What you will need to be successful:
The ideal candidate has 8+ years of practical and application experience in end-to-end sourcing of services and commodities, drafting and negotiating contracts and legal terms, sourcing strategy preparation, coupled with a strong commercial orientation and interpersonal skills
Experience in Retail Assets.
Team / people management experience is essential
Ability and proven record of providing professional leadership, coordinate and mentor junior team members
Proven experience with contract creation, negotiations and life-cycle management
Being able to work under pressure and stringent time constraints
Ability to work shift hours
