Responsibilities The Role:We are looking for an individual to join our Direct Procurement organization as Sourcing Manager for the C-Spend portfolio. This full-time position, based in Mexico City Office, reports to the Direct Procurement Team Manager and will be responsible for leading sourcing routines, including amongst other activities:strategy development for C-Spend categories, providing deep market insights, and maintaining/improving product quality and supplier service levels. Key Responsibilities:As the C-Spend Sourcing Manager at Eastman, your primary responsibility for this role is to manage sourcing and procurement processes for those categories and to provide support for those respective businesses impacted by these materials. This includes, but is not limited to, developing sourcing strategies in line with business needs, securing the lowest total cost of ownership, negotiating pricing and other commercial terms with existing suppliers, working to develop alternative supply sources, managing product and supplier risks, developing mitigation plans and engaging with external and internal stakeholders. • Work closely with key stakeholders in business, quality, operations, finance, legal, and across procurement to develop effective sourcing, inventory, cost reduction and category sourcing plans• Lead sourcing events using the Coupa platforms (RFI´s and RFP´s), monitor actual spend vs budget tracking price and volume variances, develop gap mitigation plans based on results• Monitor market trends and provide market insights in the assigned categories, making recommendations to inform sourcing decisions• Ensure strict adherence to procurement processes, contract compliance, internal and external policies, regulations and laws• Build and manage Supplier Relationships, Performance, Risks and Contracting based on Sourcing Strategies and Business needs• Negotiate and execute supply contracts in line with the product and category strategies Eastman Confidential Information• Optimize total cost of ownership, driving saving opportunities and working capital improvements with suppliers• Promote business continuity via detailed supply risk assessments and effective mitigation plans• Responsible for monthly price forecasting, where applicable• Contribute to the development of Eastman’s and Global Sourcing and Procurement strategies We offer:• An open, trusted, and flexible work environment that promotes accountability• Growth opportunities by fostering curiosity and an open mindset• A culture prioritizing safety and well-being, both physically and mentally• Inclusive communities where every employee is equally valued and respected• Collaboration with stakeholders and suppliers to achieve great outcomes• A commitment to monitor performance and provide coaching and guidance to support achieving your goals Qualifications Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required. Supply Chains, Chemist or Engineering degree preferred.• Minimum 3 years of experience in Procurement or other Commercial roles. Procurement experience in the chemical industry preferred.• Strong commercial and negotiation skills to drive the lowest total cost of ownership for the business• Understanding of contracts and commercial terms• Strategic mind-set to identify improvement opportunities, balancing short term and long-term needs• Strong interpersonal skills; able to forge and collaborate with internal customer/external supplier relationships.• Ability to influence, motivate, and negotiate effectively• Comprehensive knowledge of purchasing and basic understanding of supply chain management• Expertise in SAP and/or SAP-Ariba data processing systems preferred• Ability to comply with existing/quickly adapt to new processes within the organization; Adaptive to change, uncertain circumstances, embrace challenges• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills• Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate leadership• Comfortable with conflict• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
