Introduction
We are looking for a dynamic Sourcing Manager to join our Business Services Area (SVS) team. This role is pivotal in supporting various internal stakeholders to achieve cost reductions while maintaining or improving product quality, performance, and supplier service levels. You will work closely with Global Category Sourcing Managers and be responsible for a specific category, including Castings, Forging, Metal Fabrication/Weldments, and Machining.
This position must be located within a commutable distance to one of Metso's office locations in North America. We offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. Please note that the role may involve up to 30% - 40% regional travel.
What you’ll do
Strategic Sourcing
Translate Market Area (MA) business requirements and market insights into sourcing strategies, development actions, and implementation roadmaps. Own MA procurement performance, spend, and delivery against agreed targets. Explore and implement BCC sourcing opportunities. Develop current and new suppliers, driving availability, on-time arrival, and lead time improvements, and cost reductions.Business Partnering
Ensure procurement actions support business requirements and ambitions. Align MA Purchasing teams, Tactical Sourcing teams, Quality teams, and other Market Area functions.Supplier Relationship Management
Manage relationships with key strategic suppliers in categories under Market Area responsibility. Conduct supplier negotiations and manage their performance. Implement sourcing processes, tools, guidelines, and policies in the Market Area.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
To measure success in this role, you will be evaluated on the following KPIs:

Who you are
Experience: 5+ years of experience in supply chain or sourcing in a relevant technology/manufacturing area. Education: A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred. Certifications: Additional certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) are highly beneficial. Independence and Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and a strong self-motivated attitude. Data Analysis Excellence: Proficiency in data analysis to drive informed decision-making. Engineering Drawings Interpretation: Ability to interpret engineering drawings is highly valuable for understanding technical specifications and ensuring accurate sourcing.
