The role of the Sourcing Manager for Ingredient includes:
1) responsible for managing Ingredients sourcing, in term of supply assurance, quality, service and cost, risk management, sustainability, innovation, legal requirements and policies compliance.
2) Develop sourcing strategy and lead the execution to achieve best in class sourcing process and performance in order to meet the business needs.
3) Ensure compliance to policy and best practices in procurement function.
How you will contribute
• The Sourcing Manager establishes the ingredients sourcing strategy (The ingredient portfolio will include but not limit ~ 170M to 180M$:
- Responsible for Gum base and Gumbase Ingredients, Starch & Glucose, Emulsifier
-Direct report scope(Three Reporters): Emulsifier, Polyols &HIS, Color, VN Egg, Inclusion and other ingredients etc
lLead the execution with excellence for meeting the following business needs in 6 BUs in AMEA region including 46+ sites in 18 countries.
1. Developed and implemented sourcing strategies.
2. Build AC and ensure coverage and commodity/cost risk management. He/She will need to understand market dynamics and supply base for the ingredients in charge in order to ensure the price forecast as accurate as possible and minimiz P&L impact by establishing right coverage strategy.
3. Identified and executed cost-saving opportunities on value chain. Lead the cross function team to achieve productivity target
4. Ensure Supply security with best in class quality (RFT), service (OTIF) and BCP with full accountability to solve supply issue
5. Conduct the ingredients contract negotiation, RFP or Auction to deliver AC, producitvity and cash target
6. Spearheaded strategic supplier management initiatives, including performance evaluations, contract negotiations, sustainability, innovation, and relationship building to drive long-term partnerships.
7. Manage the complexity & challenges in term of high number of ingredients specifications and high number of suppliers in different markets to ensure optimal source of suppy.
8. Make sure legal contract is in place and the compliance with procurement policy including SAF, supplier validation, GSCP requirement
9. Support innovation and sustainability, EISD agenda for the AMEA region across all categories and BUs
10.Market Intelligence: Keep seamless with CPRM, COE, and supplier, keep tracking the downstream and upstream market trend , risk assessment, competitive benchmark, and Pricing insights
