We are looking for a Sourcing Manager for East Europe to join our Procurement team within the Aggregates Equipment Business Area.
In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and supplier management of defined suppliers within your area, ensuring growth, competitiveness, a sufficient supplier network, and sustainability in our business area. Your main purpose will be to source new suppliers in Romania and neighboring countries, focusing on steel fabrications, components, and castings & forgings.
You will lead sourcing strategy development, deployment, and supplier management to deliver maximized total cost of ownership savings and secure competitiveness. Additionally, you will maintain and improve supplier relationships, ensuring supplier quality and delivery performance. Managing existing supplier contracts and negotiating new contracts will also be part of your duties.
You will ensure compliance with Metso’s procurement policies while developing procurement performance to maximize business results. This role requires close cooperation with category managers, supply chain, factory sourcing teams, engineering, product management, and R&D teams within Metso.
This role requires up to 50% travel.
What you’ll do
Source and develop suppliers in Romania and neighboring countries for steel fabrications, components, and castings & forgings. Lead and deploy sourcing strategies to achieve competitiveness and cost savings. Maintain and enhance supplier relationships, ensuring quality and delivery performance. Manage supplier contracts and negotiate new agreements as needed. Ensure compliance with procurement policies and drive continuous improvement in procurement performance. Collaborate with internal stakeholders across supply chain, engineering, and product management to ensure alignment and business success.
Who you are
You should have several years of experience in procurement and sourcing, preferably in an international business environment. A good understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management is essential. Experience with manufacturing processes related to steel fabrication, assembly, machining, and foundries is highly valued, along with prior experience in category management.
You should have:
Proven ability to lead and drive initiatives towards high-performing results. Interest in manufacturing, technical details, and industrial business. Experience in agreement negotiations and contract management. Ability to perform strategic analysis, planning, and execute actions independently and collaboratively.Your workstyle should be self-reliant, accountable, and determined, with an analytical mindset and a drive to reach ambitious targets. Strong collaboration, negotiation, and influencing skills are critical.
We Also Value:
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Business, or related fields). Fluency in English. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems. Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
