Sourcing Lead
About This Role In addition to leading purchasing activities, the Sourcing Lead supports the development, communication and execution of commodity strategies and/or other projects (e.g., process optimization), as well as supplier relationship management activities.    Responsibilities:   Order Management:  + Follow up on orders to ensure timely deliveries.  + Issue purchase order follow-ups to ensure correct pricing, terms, and specifications.  + Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.  Data Management:  + Input data into ERP tools (e.g., Oracle).  + Maintain accurate records of purchases and inventory.  + Analyze purchase requests for accuracy and alignment with business needs.  Supplier Management:  + Negotiate pricing specific to purchase order needs.  + Work cross-functionally to address quality and obsolescence issues.  + Support supplier relationships and performance.  + Maintain supplier scorecards.  Strategic Procurement:  + Develop and execute medium complexity purchasing strategies for favorable pricing and/or improved T&Cs.  + Provide recommendations to internal stakeholders.  + Lead sourcing initiatives and manage supplier selection .  + Support the development, communication, and execution of commodity strategies.  + Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.   Requirements: + Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management , Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. + Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management. Skills & Competencies + Strong negotiation and contract management skills. + Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. + Detail-oriented with a strong focus on results. + Proactive problem-solver with sound judgment and decision-making skills. + Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative solutions. + Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. + Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently. + Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access); quick to learn new systems and tools. + Bilingual: fluent in English and French (spoken and written). #LI-CG1 Position Type Temporary (Fixed Term) CAE thanks all applicants for their interest.
