Roles and Responsibilities

Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels. Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers.Negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement.Manage claims.Includes commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, etc. This may also include purchasing activities.Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.Resolves issues using established procedures.Consults People Leader or more senior team members for issues outside of defined parameters.Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE.Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.Handles simple data entry work requiring face value check and correction.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or collegeMinimum of 2 years of experience with Sourcing/Procurement

Desired Characteristics

Good knowledge of SAP and Microsoft PackageStrong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.Availability to travel within the US to visit suppliers.Notions of how to read technical drawings and manufacturing process.Experience with energy business and negotiation with international suppliers
