Position Overview
We are seeking a Quantitative Data Analyst with strong analytical, statistical, and math skills to join our team and help create a competitive advantage by analyzing data and reporting KPI´s to the AWP Strategic Sourcing Organization and key business stakeholders. Responsibilities of the strategic sourcing analyst will include mapping cost structures, analyzing quote packages, scheduling projects, developing forecasts and executing New Product Development (NPD) analysis. The position will report to the Manager, Strategic Sourcing Analysis and is a critical part in developing the Strategic Sourcing Organization by establishing systems and processes.
Responsibilities
Including, but not limited to:
Providing analytics and data management support to the Sourcing Category Management teams for various categories, including cost management. supply continuity efforts and NPD / Product Transfers project teams for the assigned projects.Liaise with global Sourcing and Materials teams to ensure accuracy of information relating to Supplier management – pricing, incoterms, payment terms, usage, forecast and supplier data.Analyze and clean structured data from internal and external sources.Build and evaluate statistical models for forecasting.Research industry trends to implement appropriate responses and contingency measures.Identification and recommendation of process improvement opportunities throughout the sourcing lifecycle.Collect, validate, and maintain sourcing project data – pricing, incoterms, usage, forecast, and supplier data.Contributing to the design architecture and ongoing development and improvement of implementation tracking tools and software solutions. (e.g., Excel, Python scripts, BI dashboards)Partner with Category Managers, Spend Analytics team, and Strategic Sourcing teams to ensure analytics are being properly deployed to facilitate:Negotiations preparation including RFI/RFQ/RFP activity.Informed sourcing decisions.Supplier and internal opportunity identification.Implementation activities. o Contract lifecycle management.Supplier value management.Price variance reporting and follow up.Write clear technical documentation and present findings to non-technical stakeholders.Assist with day-to-day supply chain analysis and promotion of operational consistency.Assist with monitoring and reporting of Key Performance Indicators and Scorecards.Other reasonable duties or project work as requested by the Strategic Sourcing Management team.Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.About You
Basic Qualifications
University degree in a relevant field such as computer science, statistics , engineering, mathematics, information systems, business administration, or similar.Advanced English skills3+ years in prior analytics role and/or database management/ Information systems.Essential Skills
Financial awareness and ability to assess the commercial viability of data analysis and research.Strong analytics skills with proven experience in data analysis and research.Strong written communication skillsSuperior attention to detail.Knowledge of data quality measurements methodology and reporting tools.Highly organized, self-managing and capable of managing a large workload and competing priorities.Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Proficient in English, any other languages are an advantage.Work well under pressure and have high willingness to learn.Interested to work in a large, multinational organization and with various teams around the globe.Ability to identify problems and provide effective solutions.Integrity and trust.Enthusiasm and self-motivation.Desirable Skills
Extensive experience in supply chain analysis.Knowledge of import, export, and shipping regulations.Well-developed and effective communication skills to effectively negotiate with managers, colleagues, and stakeholders.Working knowledge of Oracle, Microsoft Office Suite online, and e-procurement tools.Experience of using data visualization tools such as Qlik, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI.Knowledge of AWS, SQL, R Studio, or Phyton, VBA.In-depth knowledge of market and consumer trends that might impact supply chains and associated costs.If you are interested in an open position but feel you may not meet all the listed qualifications, we still encourage you to apply.
