Source Inspection Quality Lead

Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and three to five years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of ERP software as well as use of customer portals.  Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of basic computer skills, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Summary 

Performs Source Inspection on behalf of customers as defined in customer delegation procedures. Completes defective material reports, data processing move transactions and first article reports per AS9102 requirements as required. Maintains Super Administrator status in Net Inspect portal. Maintains all access to customer portals (GE, Goodrich, PW, etc.) Communicates with department supervision regularly. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Inspect parts visually and dimensionally for conformance to manufacturing drawings, quality control specifications and customer requirements. Performs Source Inspection duties on behalf of designated customers Performs ODA member duties on behalf of the FAA, including 8130 report completion, submittal Must utilize all precision measuring equipment and techniques as applicable, including micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators. Perform First Article Inspection Reports per AS9102 requirements Use statistical sampling plans; complete/verify various inspection reports-including S.P.C. charts, first article reports, and defective material and test reports. Complete data processing move transactions as required. Must know how to read blueprints, and to use different gages, such as micrometers, calipers, comparators, thread gages, pin gages, height gages, protrusion blocks, etc. Performs other tasks of equal or lesser skill as required. Other duties and/or responsibilities may be performed as part of cross-training or employee development plan. Trains personnel in Source Inspection activities. Facilitates access for personnel to customer portals and Net Inspect. Supports customer sourcing audits as necessary.
