Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, performance, location and salary range at the time of the offer._ **Responsibilities** Perform high complexity, detailed exams including first trimester screening, level II ultrasound, fetal echocardiogram, amniocentesis chorionic villus sampling, and multiples. **Responsibilities:** + Scan high risk obstetric patients under the supervision of Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) physicians. Prepare examination reports and communicate clinical information and ultrasound findings to the physician. + Perform high quality and comprehensive obstetric ultrasound exams in accordance with established departmental guidelines and protocols. + Screen during first trimester for chromosomal and structural anomalies and transvaginal assessment of cervical length. Perform fetal echocardiography. + Perform routine and comprehensive anatomy examinations including biophysical profiles and growth assessments. + Assist with ultrasound guidance during invasive procedures including genetic amniocentesis, transvaginal and transcervical chorionic villus biopsy, and fetal blood transfusion. Educate patient on the ultrasound procedure. + Exercise discretion and judgment in the performance of diagnostic exams. Adhere to the standard of care and maintain a safe environment. **Requirements** **Licensure / Certification / Registration:** + BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. + Medical Sonographer specializing in Obstetrics & Gynecology credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. + Credentialed in Fetal Echocardiography from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) within 24 months of hire date or job transfer date required. **Education:** + High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. **Why Join Our Team** Ascension Seton, based in Austin, Texas, has provided thousands of associates and caregivers a rewarding career in healthcare since 1902.
