We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Sommelier to join our innovative restaurant team for the coming 2025/26 winter season!

Key Responsibilities\nSales and recommendations of selected wines\nManagement of our wine cellar and stock control\nMonthly inventories and preparation of wine lists\nOrdering of new wines\nActive sales and advice to our guests in the selection of food and beverages, especially in the context of our wines\nWelcoming and looking after guests\nOrganisation of wine tastings and events\nCollaboration with the kitchen team, to optimally coordinate wine pairings with our range of dishes\nTable service\nMaintaining contacts with winegrowers and wine merchants\nAssistance with breakfast service and a la carte service in the evening\nDaily mise en place work\nParticipation in weekly training courses\nWorking to Kempinski standards\n

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise\nCompleted training in a comparable hotel and several years of extensive professional experience in upscale gastronomy\nKnowledge of wine service and winemaking \nComprehensive knowledge of grapes and grape varieties\nCertified sommelier\nSound knowledge of current wine trends and ratings \nAble to organise training sessions for the team\nAbility to work under pressure, orderliness and a very high level of quality awareness Structured, organised working style, and very high quality awareness\nStructured and organised way of working\nGreat interest in team-oriented work\nYour motto is to be a perfect and amiable host to every guest\nYou are happy to take responsibility for the guests and employees entrusted to you and are happy to pass on your expertise to younger colleagues\nVery good knowledge of German and English is a prerequisite. Basic knowledge of another foreign language is desirable\n
