About the role
Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, you will have an effective presence on the floor, driving our wine experience for our guests with thoughtful pairings and meaningful connections. You will be responsible for managing the cellar and training the team. This is a key position and the successful candidate will need to have a strong focus on excellence, plenty of enthusiasm and a flexible approach.
Responsibilities include
Training and upskilling the team; in food and wine pairings
Making wine purchase suggestions that would complement seasonal, local and international menu's
Regular stock-take and maintenance of our cellar
Facilitate wine appreciation events
About you
A passion for service delivery and the Hospitality Industry
Excellent wine knowledge with proven ability to engage guests and increase wine sales
Knowledge and ability to train junior Food & Beverage Attendants
Minimum 3 years relevant experience
Impeccable personal grooming
Effective communication skills
Exceptional organisational skills
Flexibility and maturity in approach - must be able to work shifts, including weekends
